As we continue to expand our team we have identified the need for a marketing executive to create opportunities to sell Storycue, our flagship product, to publishers primarily in the UK, US and European markets.

What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a dynamic and self-starting marketing executive to join our product team. The ideal candidate will have a background in journalism and understand how to have meaningful conversations with publishers about audience challenges. They will have an existing network of contacts and actively attend industry events to create new relationships and opportunities. 

The ideal candidate will also be responsible for designing and running lead generation campaigns, and maintaining a strong marketing presence on all our social channels and website. 

They will work directly with the head of product ensuring a good customer experience for newly onboarded customers, driving recommendations and word of mouth.

This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse set of clients and utilise a vast network of audience experts across the UK, US, and beyond to solidify our market presence and achieve international growth.

What you’ll do:

  • Expand the company's reach and client base by connecting with potential clients through a well-established network of contacts in the publishing industry in the UK, US, and internationally.
  • Take ownership of the company's marketing and lead generation strategy, creating weekly sales opportunities for the product team to demo Storycue
  • Active networking and attendance at industry events, to create and foster new connections with publishers
  • Maintain social media brand presence with LinkedIn and X campaigns
  • Evolving our website and blog
  • Assisting with customer onboarding and ensuring new customers are getting value from the product

What you’ll need:

  • A robust network within the audience development and publishing  sector, preferably spanning the UK, US, and other key markets.
  • Proven experience in a similar strategic growth or marketing role, ideally within digital new publishing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build and maintain relationships with clients, team members, and industry experts.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a track record of driving audience growth and executing innovative marketing strategies.
  • Ability to work quickly in a small, agile environment and deliver results week on week
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with executives and teams across the organization.

Bonus skills 

  • Experience working with journalists in fast-paced environments
  • Knowledge of CRM and marketing platforms
  • Experience working with product teams or SaaS products
  • Design skills or experience working with designers
